If macOS blocks the first launch
This preview is not signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized by Apple. If macOS reports that the developer cannot be verified, first try opening the installed app, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security. If you trust this download, use Open Anyway beside the Research Studio message and confirm.
See Apple’s guide to safely opening apps. An alert that an app will damage your computer is a different warning; do not treat it as the normal preview approval step.
A quick setup check.
Open Desktop setup from the app’s home screen or Help menu. It shows what is ready and links to installation instructions for anything missing.
